Cheaters are one of the classic drift fishing lures for salmon and steelhead in our local rivers. They are buoyant and can help float your hook, yarn and bait a little as it tumbles in the current just off the river bottom.
Yarn
Our yarn selection is catered towards fishing in our Washington rivers for both salmon and steelhead. Cut off a small tuft of yarn and put it in your hook’s egg loop for a little added color profile, or tie a few different colors together to create a Yarnie, one of the best drift fishing lures for steelhead.
