This crew got to see just how much bounty our little corner of the country has to offer. Puget Sound was alive that day! They had the perfect day fishing with us moochers at Spot Tail Salmon Guides. We were searching around Jeff Head for our first salmon, then we found them big time! I cruised up to an area that was littered with floating eel grass… and below it? We saw a river of herring with actively feeding Chinook and Coho that were a couple feet from the surface! We experienced some of the best mooching action I’ve seen in my life. Every salmon we hooked was within 40 feet of the surface and put up an exhilarating battle. Everyone was busy and the action was intense! I’m going to use the thick eelgrass on the surface as my excuse for the shoddy net jobs. Hope you enjoy the video!
