Took a couple really cool clients out on Sunday and the chew was on! Mooching is a great way to really connect with Puget Sound’s salmon, and once you feel your first mooching bite, with the rod in your hand and get to battle a beautiful salmon on light tackle, it is difficult to transition back to downrigger fishing.

Lots of bait was stacked at Jeff Head and Kingston, and luckily the Chinook and Coho knew were to feed. We mooched up a couple coho on the south side of Jeff Head around the tide rips, then headed to Kingston and found another couple Coho and a few quality Chinook.
